U <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> February 6, 2006 <br /> Assistant Director—Department of Public Works—Landscaping Services: <br /> Catherine Laurent, Assistant DPW director was present to recommend the <br /> Board award the contract for Landscaping Services at various Town <br /> buildings to The Capecaper for calendar year 20 . <br /> Amendments to the scope of work include provisions for mowing,the <br /> purchase of new plant material,the use of organic fertilizers and the work <br /> to be performed at the new Senior Center. The original bid pace of <br /> $25,700 will remain unchanged. % <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cahalane to award hid year 3 of the <br /> contract for Landscaping Services to The Cap caper as <br /> recommended for the bid price of$ ,Too. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cook. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. -o. <br /> Recommended Amendments for Permits Passes for Transfer Station <br /> Beaches; <br /> Amendments 1- to the Policy for the purchase and use of <br /> permits/passes.for the Mashpee Transfer Station and beaches were <br /> outlined by the Assistant Director of Public Works in a memorandum <br /> dated January 31, 200 6. The Selectmen commented on the following <br /> amendments as proposed- <br /> Amendment#2; Typo— Sentence's to read: <br /> This amendment limits the number of Transfer Station permits <br /> this may be issued to a single household/property to two. <br /> Regulations for the Transfer.Station... <br /> Amendment#4: The amendment rewires payment of an additional fee at <br /> the Transfer Station gate for disposal of more than -gallon <br /> bags of household trash per week. $1.00 fee is proposed. <br /> Amendment#5: The amendment allows a per trip fee to be charged for <br /> the composting of excessive amounts of yard waste. It was noted <br /> that at this time, only one licensed landscaper has purchased a <br /> commercial permit for compost disposal. The Selectmen agreed to <br /> trach illegal use, <br />
