'# <br /> t t <br /> Mr. Greelish requested Mr. Costa to discuss with Assem- <br /> bly members the possibility* of a Cape wine hazardous waste <br /> ollecti n day, <br /> , , <br /> •' + F <br /> e + <br /> Mr. Costa explained State regulations mandate that haz- <br /> ardous waste cannot be transported from town to town. 'Fees <br /> to dispose of the waste for each town is to costly.. " "The As- <br /> sembly is working on an amendment to the regulation, " <br /> Mr, Costa recommended the town of Mashpee hold its own <br /> hazardous waste collection day. <br /> Board members agreed. <br /> Mr. Greelish directed Ir. McQuaid to research as to <br /> whether it rust go thru the bidding process and approximate <br /> costs* <br /> *NEW BUSII ESS** <br /> oil Drums Route 130 <br /> Mr, McQuaid stated -he will- have the drums removed and <br /> stored until the hazardous waste collection day. <br /> D.E.P. seminar , . <br /> Mr, McQuaid' informed the Board the repermitting of the <br /> landfill/transfer station involves posting an assurance ]gond. <br /> "Phis purpose of the bond.. is to ensures the town will have <br /> the money for final capping and closing- " "If the % land- <br /> fill <br /> and- <br /> fill remains open for another five years those monies must be <br /> set aside every year. " <br />
