MINUTES August 15j . 1991 3 BOARD OF HEALTH Mr. costa recommended forming an Advisory council to de. termine Human Service needs for the town, Ms, Gateman was amenable to the recommendation and sug- gested evaluating all existing Duman Service contracts. Mr, McQuaid stated he will work with Ms, Waterman to de- termine which individuals would be most ,benef ficial on thed- Visort' Council. Mr. Greelish stated he would like to stet with those in- dividuals two or three weeks after school begins. ' r* Costa motioned to support the article however, the following shall be added; to amend the existing contract be- tween the Town and the V.N.A. , M . reelis -seconded. . Latest round of. urface water samples - Mr. McQuaid in- formed the- Board all surface sampling was below the recom- mended levels however, subsequent sampling for v.o.c. l s was taken at the fresh water ponds and traces of v. .c* 's were found at Johns Pond. "This information was provided this week via telephone from the County, " Mr, McQuaid informed the Board he will resample, as Mr. Heufelder is of the opin- ion- traces found may have resulted from the numerous boats in the area at the time of sampling. 11 , Copy of Z,B,A., ends 1 - Mr, McQuaid stated he will attend the meeting as their is a special permitre- quested for a boat storage facility on Bowdoin Road, Mr, costa expressed his concern with the proposed loca- tion for the boat storage facility. Mr, Greelish directed Mr, McQuaid to request the pro- spective owners to submit in writing how they propose to store the vessels as appropriate safeguards must be taken.
