The article on south Cape Beach was just read <br /> to me today. <br /> Nancy stated that the reason she asked was because the - Board pushed <br /> for a Special just on South Cape Beach -arid the reason .being that this <br /> was such an important issue and you wanted to give everyone a chance <br /> to spear and heresay has it .that the Moderator .is thinking along <br /> different lines - a very short meeting - like -may be 10 minutes.. <br /> Chairman stated that is absolutely ridiculous . <br /> Nancy stated that she only wanted to make the Board aware of this. <br /> Chairman stated that he has enough confidence in the Moderator to know <br /> that this wouldn' t happen. <br /> Nancy stated - that she .was only suggesting that the Board contact the <br /> Moderator before hand. <br /> Selectman Garland informed Chairman that he would like to make a <br /> statement: "As a member of - this Board, and as a resident of this Town, <br /> I am getting so damn fed up to my eyeballs with rumors and innuendos , <br /> and second, third; and fourth hard comments. I hope that somehow or <br /> rather we can get out to the public that if they as an individual, on <br /> a firsthand iasis , have something to say about the operation of this <br /> Town, they will have guts .enough to cone before this Board and tell <br /> us and not repeat it around Town as gossip or rumors or whatever else <br /> it may be. I don' t care who that person may be, I I rte just fed up to <br /> the eyeballs. I r r very firmly convinced that one of the greatest <br /> problems that faces this Town today, is this unbelievable amount of <br /> rumors that are running around this Town about everybody and everything <br /> that is going on in it. I think we can all cone to a point of not <br /> listening to these rumors but listening to facts , not the rumors, and <br />
