I was a member of the <br /> Board that hired the man. <br /> Press : How about the other electmen <br /> s e l c tman Thomas : He' s done a fine 3 ob. <br /> Selectman Garland: As far a - I 'm concerned, he' s a very superb officer. <br /> He has served the Town well, and I'm deeply sorry <br /> to see him go. <br /> Chairman: I thin] that he Brough something to the Mashpee Police <br /> - Department which it had always lacked. He brought clot <br /> of professional methods and procedures operating both <br /> within 'the Department and in the Field. That <br /> professionalism is evident today. <br /> 2 . Attorney Michael Dunning net with the Board at his request. <br /> Attorney Dunning stated that he was representing Doctor and Mrs. canning <br /> who own approximately 24 acres of land situated on Route 28 on the <br /> Falmouth side of the Rotary r and that they are planning tb build <br /> condominuims- on this property. As a matter of courtesy to the Board, <br /> they would lite to present the plan to the Selectmen for' review. <br /> He stated that they had already net with the Board of Appeals and <br /> tonight they would be meeting with the Planning Board. <br /> Selectmen agreed to review the plan. <br /> Attorney Dunning introduced Nor. Segal., an architect, who presented <br /> the plan to the Selectmen. Mr. Segal explained that there would be <br /> a total. of 84 units - 1 and 2 bedrooms. There will be a clubhouse, <br /> tennis court, etc. There will be individual sewage systems and <br /> one large well for the entire project, however, space has been left <br /> for other 'wells just incase owners which to have their own. <br /> Attorney Dunning thanked ed the Board for their time.. <br /> 29, member of Press asked chairman what the final decision/statement <br /> was in regards to the chief and the Executive Session. <br /> Chairman: As. far as I 'm concerned, it' s over and clone with. I think <br /> the last statement that I made was that I wasn' t going to <br /> male anymore statements because I was 3ust distributing <br /> to people who are spreading rumors . I think that everything <br /> has. been said.. <br /> Press : could you give me the final statement on that? <br /> Chairman: As I said before , this particular action of the Chief has <br /> nothing to do with the Executive session or those rumors . <br /> Final statement relative to the Executive Session was given to this <br /> member of the press for her to review. <br /> � - <br />
