The Personnel Board is setting <br /> up an appointment for him to be examined by Dr. Flavin. <br /> sel. Thomas asked for an update on Patrolman Aitchison, saying that <br /> she had heard that his appeal had been denied. Mr. Murphy said that h <br /> had not learned that it had been -denied at the state level. He has <br /> been examined by the doctor, but we have not received a report. The <br /> doctor will determine whether he is capable of returning to work; if so,. <br /> and he refuses, we will no longer be required to continue paying his <br /> salary. <br /> Sl. Thomas asked the status of the gasoline bids . Mr. Murphy is re-- <br /> writing the specifications. He had been waiting for information which <br /> the state was offering that was supposed to be helpful in this smatter. <br /> However, now that it has been received, it is not of much value, so he <br /> has begun the process of rewriting. He hopes to have thea finished this <br /> week. <br /> Sol. Thomas asked what is happening at Attauin Pond? Mr. Murphy re - <br /> ponded that we are trying to hire someone for up there. Wendy is how <br /> working on that project <br /> el* Thomas asked about the street light survey. Mr. Murphy responded <br /> that he has heard nothing from any volunteers, Chm. Garland reported <br /> that he does not think now that we will be able to get any help- from <br /> the New Seabury Men' s Club, as he had hoped. <br /> el. Thomas mentioned the street numbering project. she suggested Mr. <br /> Murphy talk to "Scotty" in Barnstable, and get some information from <br /> them. sel. , Thomas reported that she has just completed updating the <br /> Association list - perhaps we could use than as a mailing list to <br /> solicit help# <br /> n the Ad Hoc Building Committee for a Public Works Facility, Mr. Murphy <br /> reported that -we still have not heard from one potential appointee - <br /> Mr. Fitzgerald* Sel. Thomas will contact him for an answer, then she <br /> said we should appoint the committee and sot a date to get the committee <br /> moving <br /> On the question of 'Using volunteers who have -offered -to render their . <br /> services to the Town, Mr. Murphy .reported that he has checked with, Town <br /> Counsel Joseph Reardon, who has advised that there will be no problem <br /> with insurance coverage - such people will fall under the Town' s insur- <br /> ance. <br /> Mr. Garland reported that on the- question of the doors at the Police/ <br /> Fire complex, 'there has been--no chan e. V <br /> Returning to Item 1 , the picking up of surplus material, sel.. Thomas <br /> asked again if it would be possible to schedule a monthly trip for this <br /> purpose. The Executive secretary explained that it is his understatnding <br /> that it doesn't work that way.. It just is not possible to go with a <br />
