Mr. Lawrence reiterated that the <br /> affidavits do not show that anyone was assigned the responsibility of <br /> stopping incoming vehicles . <br /> While on this subject, Town Counsel reported on recent activity- in a <br /> case the Town has brought against an employee of Mr. I ePaul ' s , Wilbur <br /> Oakley. Mr. Reardon reported that the .jud e'=hard charged Wilbur Oakley <br /> with contempt; he is required to appear before hire next Wednesday* The <br /> summons will be delivered by the Police Department, Town Counsel review- <br /> ed the case to date. Mr. Oakley had been ordered to pay the Town of <br /> Mshpee $500 , and cover the stump dump he had started. He had pad the <br /> Town $400, but the deadline had passed for the balance. He will also <br /> have to explain why the dump had not been covered, but presumably the <br /> fact that the around has been frozen may have some effect on that acti- . <br /> ity. At that point, Mr, Lawrence informed Mr. Reardon that -the 10had <br /> been received last yesterday, Town Counsel said that all that remains to <br /> conclude this case is for the cutup to be covered, and if it cannot be at <br /> this time, Mr. Oakley should communicate that fact to the Town and the <br /> Court. <br /> el. O 'Connell moved that Town Counsel be asked to pursue the matter of <br /> the affidavits with the Landfill Contractor, A vote . <br /> i <br /> Sel , Thomas announced that the Quaker- Run Hearing would resum tomorrow in <br /> the Cafeteria. <br /> Charles Buckingham of the Board of Health reported that a drum had been- <br /> found alone the road, and tests showed that it contained kerosine, although <br /> there were only a few drops left in the drum. when a resident discovered <br /> the dru, he reported it to the police, but got no response from therm. This <br /> was in the area .of Johns Pond Estates . Mr. Buckingham feels the police � <br /> be d e ed to respond to t hes.e kinds of re ue t , ars made aware of the <br /> = <br /> potential a iousnesssof the damages that. could result to our water sup <br /> plies.
