He reported that they have .been <br /> ince ting once a week, now on Tuesday nights. He also submitted a copy of <br /> his report for the Town Report, <br /> Mr. Shaughness r reported on some of the research his committee has been <br /> doing. He indicated that there are many "inponder•ables" , which rake their <br /> final recommendation difficult to project at this -time. In the next ten <br /> years , the population of Mashx ee is ex erted to- double, They have visited <br /> libraries in surrounding towns ;' the. reports of those visits are included in <br /> their minutes," Most, of -course , are larger than Mashbee needs to have now. <br /> They are looking at around 6, 000 square ..feet. The library 'now has 1, 000 - <br /> square <br /> , 0square feet. <br /> He reported that the' co mittee has talked w'ith two architectural firms . . <br /> They are expecting to hear from both 'of tern within two weeks . There is <br /> no rol lem with the land, whether- they decide to recommend an addition at <br /> the present site - or a new building near the rotary coat lex. So far, they <br /> have not spent any of their expense money. But they will be spendinq some <br /> for architectural fees. They would lite to find a grant. lori Welander <br /> is researching several sources as a possibility.
