Police Chief Fry seat - a letter to the Selectmen requesting that they <br /> appoint Mr. Siris James Bohnenber er of Riverside, Road, Mashpee as a <br /> Special. Police officer. Chm. Thomas said the Mr. Bohnenber•c er hasbeen- <br /> working f6t .the Falmouth 'Police Department since June 14 , 1982 as a <br /> Provisional Police officer, and that he has passed the required criminal <br /> lair examination, he has qualified with firearms and has had c.P. , and <br /> first aid certification, Sel, Hanson moved to appoint Mr. Kris James <br /> Bohnenbercer of Riverside Toad, ashpee� as a Special Police officer- for <br /> the Town of Mashpee , per Police Chief Fry' s recommendation, term to <br /> expire June 30 , 1983. Seconded by Self. Garland. This is a unanimous <br /> vote '. <br /> . Executive Secretary explained that Mr, Sherman had brought in a complaint <br /> against Ms . Hendricks clod. He also started that this as not the first <br /> complaint and that the Board on October -, 1982 had ordered her to re- <br /> strain her dock for an ndefin to period- of time. He said that in keeping <br /> with the Board' s previously adopted practice,' he recommends this complaint <br /> t <br /> be turned over to the Police Chief to be investigated and than given t <br /> Officer Brad Fish for pro'secution' in District- Court. el'. Garland so <br /> moved. Seconded by Sel. Hanson. This is a unanimous vote . <br /> . Board discussed letter from Cape Cod child Development Program, Inc. - This <br /> is part of Headstart program. sel. Garland suggested a comment of cau- <br /> tion when they- request funding as - they are also requesting funding from <br /> the Barnstable - County Finance. <br /> . On the letter from Mr. Hicks , from' the Department of Environmental <br /> Affairs, regarding insect pest control and clutch elm disease control , <br /> Executive secretary stated .that the budget for that department this <br /> year would be prepared by the Superintendent of Streets as well as <br /> himself. He also explained that this is a state mandate . <br /> . on the letter from gape cod Planning and Economic Development commission-, <br /> Executive secretary- stated ' that this was informational and that where it <br /> concerned Ashumet Pond he- felt the Board should review this letter. Chem. <br /> Thomas said that there are only six families living in that area year <br /> round and that the Board of Health would be testing the water. <br /> 7. ) Executive Secretray recommended that the Board vote to allow Mr, Jon <br /> Peterson of the Department of Environmental Management to use a vacant <br /> room in this building on a temporary basis as his operational headguar- <br /> tersin the establishment of the South Cape Beach Park. Executive <br /> Secretary said that Mr. Peterson is the Environmental Management Super- <br /> intendent and that he would provide his own phone . He. also stated that <br /> this would be to the best interest of the Town to show good relationship <br /> between the state and the Town. Motion by Sel .
