No specific action is requested, <br /> .,a <br /> gun i cation from Su t of Schools <br /> The Board reviewed a memo dated August 15 from the Superintendent <br /> of. Schools requesting that ars article be submitted for the next <br /> special town meeting in the amount of $7,263.07 for unpaid bills <br /> incurred in the last fiscal year . The Executive Secretary <br /> pointed out that the deadline has past for submission of articles. . <br /> for the Fall Special Town Meeting and that the Superintendent was <br /> aware that an article was long since needed. He asked the <br /> Board's consideration on this for the next Special Town Meeting m <br /> (after the September one) , <br /> Sel . Thomas said than they have no other recourse. Sel . Lawrence <br /> commented that he did not wish to be recorded as in favor of i t. <br /> .Sel . Hanson said that he was not in favor of it , Sel . Thomas <br /> a i d that she feels the torn has an obligation to pay its bills. <br /> Town Counsel said that it is an illegal act to incur indebtedness <br /> in excess of appropriated funds, <br /> Sel . Lawrence motioned to have a letter sent to the <br /> Superintendent to the effect that his timing was lousy as his <br /> letter was dated August 15 and that there was a possibility of <br /> taking care of this if he notified them prior to July 15. Sel . <br /> Lawrence moved that it not be included and that he be notified <br /> that he overspent his budget and that the Board may be <br /> considering looking into future legal action; <br /> Sel . Thomas said that she could go along with a letter to the <br /> Superintendent but . that she really feels air article should o <br /> before the people . Sel . Lawrence said that he understood what <br />
