The Board has received a. letter of grave concern from seasonal residents Of Popponesset Island regarding the structure and maintenance of the Bridge . Mr. Murphy' ha.s prepared a, draft letter In response , which letter, was unanimously approved by the Board of Selectmen, NEW BUSINESS 1. Articles from Torn Fuda.la., Town Planner for review, Three articles were submitted, 1) $18 ,433 to complete the consultant study of water duality problems in the Mashpee River, Santuit River and Popponesse- -Bay for which phase one funding was authorized at Special Town Meeting on .August 2 ,, 1986 ; 2 $15,000 to fund a. traffic corridor consultant study of Routes 28 and 151 to be undertaken jointly with the Town of Falmouth; 3 $23 ,408 to Fund the contract of the Assistant Town Planner for the period from July 1 , 1987 to June 30 , 1988. Mr. Murphy noted that Article #3 is already in the budget so approval is not necessary. Article #2 was . :f ry . . for decision pending verification of information. Artie #1 was approved for in- sertion on the warrant. 2. Letter of resignation, Priscilla J. am-. ..announced her intention to resign from the Council on Aging and the dousing Authority effective January 1, 1987* Ms . Hari was the St-ate Represent- ative epresent- ative for the Dousing Authority so a, replacement will be required, The resignation was accepted . 3a Cape Cod Regional Technical High,_School pro-posed budget, Mr* Murphy noted that no specific action is necessary at this time . The budget 'assessment to the Town would increase by 16% duo to an increase in students from the Town . Arts Council - apPointmentse The Secretary of the Arts Council has submitted the names of Louise K. Murphy and Paul Nadeau for appointments s SeTectwoman Thomas roved that Louise K. lvlurphy and Paul Nadeau be appointed. Mr. Lawrence seconded the motion which was unani- mously nani- mou T carried. 5. Board of Assessors . The Board of Assessors has requested transfer of $10,000.00. to pay far approximately a.tely o days a-' $35.00 per hour plus expenses for the listing of -properties having building permits in 1986. This is due to the resignation of the Assistant Assessor* which was effective this dates January 7P 1987• The Board of Assessors also informed that due to this resignation and other delays from service companies there will be a, delay in the FY87 billing. 6. Seamist Resort - Amusement Device License . The license expired December 31, 19860- It was unanimous-ly agreed to renew the license, T.
