The special act limits the term to one year, Joseph P. Burns is currently an Associate Member of the Commission and his term expires June 30, 1987. Mr. Hanson moved to appoint Patrick Coffey as an Associate Member of the Conservation Commission with the term to expire June 30 , 1988. Mr. Gottlieb seconded the motion, The vote was unanimous.- Assistant Town Planner re : terms of contract termina- tion. In a memorandum dated May 13 , 1987t lark smith, Assistant Town Planner explained a situation involving accumulated vacation leave and the termination date of June 5, 1987. He requested that the termination date be extended to June 12 , 1987 . Mr.. Town Planner re : Assistant Town Planner fundin In a memorandum dated May 14, 1987v Thomas Fudala, Town Planner, detailed the critical significance of having an unfunded Assistant Town Planner position. Mrs. Thomas referred to a memorandum orandum dated May 20 , 1987 from the Police Chief in which he recommended that the Board of Selectmen allow Dick & Ellie's "lea Market to continue its on o e t`p a. �. without the presence of a. detail Officer. Chief Frye outlined the reasoning for this recommendation in his memorandum. Mr. Lawrence reiterated his grave concern over this traffic situation. The Chairwoman noted Paragraph 5 of the memorandum and recalled that the Town Planner was requested to make recommendations endations as to how this four-point traffic movement could be alleviated . After discussion, it was unanimously agreed to accept the recommendations of the Police C .i ehowever, a possible solution to the four-point situation will be sought through the Town Planner. 9.
