Mra Lawrence also pointed out <br /> that this project was originally intended to become completed by <br /> the end of June , 1987. If these Addendum, particularly Addenda <br /> #2 and Addenda-.-#1 Article 2p subsection 2.9 and Article 4, sub- <br /> section 4.3 become part of the Agreement , the scope involving <br /> sura-consultants and sub-contractors would appear to inhibit ex- <br /> peditious completion of the project, Relative to Addenda. #1 <br /> Article 2 , subsection 2.8 and Article 4, subsection 4.2 Mr. 'Lawrence <br /> allowed that the Board of� Selectr en did agree to pay for services <br /> rendered by Arrow Engineering, Inc . which is an amount of $2,400.00.. ; <br /> however, Selectman Lawrence disputed the necessity of making such <br /> payment through the execution of this .Addenda.. The Chairwoman will <br /> i. vestigate another method of payment for services rendered by Arrow <br /> Engineering, Inc . Mr. Lawrence c stated that if Dr. Aubrey could <br /> give complete assurance that this project ill be completed by the <br /> end f June - and if .there were r e-tary figures, attached 'to thine <br /> subsections ; he would agreeable to executa.0n, Mrs . -Thomas will <br /> telephone e fir; Aubrey tomorrow mo g June 11, 1987 to inform him <br /> of this conditions to execution of the Addendum. <br /> 7* Board of Health re : Solid Waste Bill, The Board of <br /> Health has made written communication to Senator Patricia. McGovern, <br /> Chairmanof the - ays -_ nd 'Means Committee regarding adverse effects <br /> of the Solid waste Bill ori c om unities that will be contracting with <br /> SEMASS . The Board of Health focused on three aspects 1 acid gas <br /> scrubbers , 2 host community fee, 3 three percent set-aside fee . <br /> The Board of Health suggests that the Board of Selectmen and the <br /> Fienance Committee also communicate with Sena or McGovern on this <br /> matter. Mr. Gottlieb suggested that the Board of Selectmen also <br /> make written communication unication with Senator Doane as a. re-affirmation <br /> of this com unities position. <br /> NEW BUSINESS (cont. ) <br /> 3 . Resignations . Mr. Murphy reported that Gertrude T. <br /> Cuthbert, member of the Council on Aging, has submitted her res- <br /> ignation effective June 8 , 1987; Mary L. Timpe has submitted her <br /> resignation as part-time Administrative Clerk for the Police Depart. <br /> ent to be effective June 26, 1987; and Harold F. Boynton has <br /> de l ine d c ons i d e r at inn for reappointment to the Council on Aging. <br /> His term expires on June 30, 1987. Mr. Carter moved that the Boar <br /> of Selectmen accept these three terminations . Mr, Lawrence seconded <br /> the motion. The vote was unanimous , <br /> . PaulineManuel - communication r ardin claim for <br /> reimbursement.- M , Murphy has submitted a memorandum on this matter <br /> dated June 3, 1987.
