r' <br /> Board of Selectmen Page S ix <br /> Regular Meeting <br /> Monday, August 24 19 <br /> roved that the Board of Selectmen accept the resignation of on- <br /> servation Officer John Varkonda effective September Z1 , 1987 and <br /> that a letter be sent to him expressing appreciation for his <br /> accomplishments during his employment with the Town. Mr. Carter <br /> seconded the motion. The -vote was unanimous . <br /> . Police Station Addition Building_ committee . In a <br /> memorandum orandum dated August 6. 1987 , the Executive Secretary reported <br /> that the Design Review Committee for the addition has selected a <br /> architect which completes its function as that Committee , Mr. <br /> Murphy noted that it is desirable for the Board of Selectmen to <br /> appoint a. Police Station Addition Building Committee for the - <br /> pp g pur- <br /> pose of overseeing the work of the selected architect, Gaffney <br /> Associates , and construction of the addition, if approved by Town <br /> Meeting. lir. Lawrence roved that the Police station Addition <br /> Building Committee be appointed to consist of Chief Curtis Frye , <br /> Deputy Chief Maurice Cooper, Sgt. William J. Ethier, Chester Brown <br /> and Michael Makunas , Douglas Boyd ex of 'icio member. Mr. Carter <br /> seconded the motion. The vote was unanimous,, <br /> 9. Board of Assessors r ; revaluation. A memorandum <br /> dated August 5, 1987 from the Board 'of Assessors relates that per- <br /> mission has been received From the Department ent of Revenue to post- <br /> pone <br /> ' <br /> ost-pone' the revaluation from F'sca.l Year 189 to Fiscal Year ' 90 due <br /> to the increased workload. In order to gather additional information <br /> and discuss this matter further, it was unanimously agreed to meet <br /> with the Board of Assessors . Mr. Murphy will schedule a, meeting. <br /> to. Application for Permit. The Mashpee wa■ apanoa■g Rod <br /> Gun Club has applied for a permit to sell liquor at the club at <br /> a. clam boll dinner to be held on August 29 , 1957. Mr. Gottlieb <br /> Moved that the permit be granted as requested. Mr. Carter seconded <br /> the motion. The vote was unanimous <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS : cont. <br /> 3 . Forward Developmentorporation. Alexander L. The proposal was outlined in <br /> the letter of August 20, 19 ". Mr. Dattami stated that if the Board <br /> finds favor with this proposal it would require a. great deal of <br /> cooperative endeavor between the Town and Forward Development to bring <br />
