i <br /> BOARD of SELECTMEN <br /> MINUTES REGULAR SESSION <br /> TUES Al 9 FEBRUARY 21v 1989 <br /> PAGE FIVE <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> 11 Mr. Gottlieb proved to authorize the National Audubon Society <br /> to post signs relative to the nesting season of terns and <br /> Piping Plovers. These signs will read; "Terns Nesting <br /> These endangered b i ds are harmed by any disturbance - keep <br /> below high water mark at all times do not enter area <br /> bounded by signs - please no dogs - posted by Naahl,.+lett <br /> Audubon Society per order Board of Selectmen. " Mrs. <br /> Jacobson seconded the motion.. All were In favor. <br /> Mr. Gottlieb moved to appoint Richard Madly as Assistant <br /> Harbormaster on a volunteer bas i s t pending l ar-i f i cation <br /> from Mr, Kob 1 i ns y as to whether or not Mr. Ma i l l y is to be <br /> paid for bis services. Mr.. Carter seconded the motion% All <br /> were in favor. <br /> The Board noted a letter of resignation from Gerald A. <br /> Sewell From the Finance Committee, Mr. Lawrence directed <br /> Mr. Murphy to advise the Committee that the opening on the <br /> Finance Gorenittee would be an item of discussion at the <br /> March 1 . 1989 meeting. <br /> , Mrs. Jacobson moved to include the article submitted by the <br /> Harbormaster relative to the prohibition of Jet Skis* water <br /> Skis or similar water craft from Poppone set Creek. Mr. <br /> Carter seconded the motion. All were in favor. <br /> Mr. Carter moved to approve Utility Request numbers 89-510 <br /> and 8 -517 submitted by New England Telephone. Mrs. <br /> Jacobson seconded the motion, All were in favor. <br /> Mrs. Jacobson moved to approve Change order #11 submitted by <br /> the School Building Committee for an Increase of $ 19,699.00. <br /> Mrs . Jacobson was reluctant to approve the charge order, but <br /> stated that she wants to See the school completed. <br />
