Mr. Nutting informed the Board of a bulletin stating that <br /> if firefighters were to get certain types of cancer that it <br /> would be because they are f i ref i hters, therfore, the Town <br /> would have to pair a pension fund. Mr. Nutting suggested <br /> that letters be sent to Representative/Senator to oppose <br /> the legislation. <br /> Mrs. Jacobson moved to oppose the legislation and to . <br /> contact the Townfs representative and Senator, Mr. Hanson <br /> seconded the riot ion A 11 were i n favor- i <br /> Mrs. Jacobson informed the Board that businesses would be <br /> opening at 1 :00 p.m. on Saturday, November 1 1 , 19894P <br /> Mr. Lawrence moved to allow that a Petition prepared by the <br /> COMMi55ion to Save our Cities and Towns be placed i n the <br /> Selectmen's Office. The Petition requests that a question <br /> be put on the ballot that 0% of the State growth taxes <br /> come back to cities and towns. Mr5. Jaccab5on 5eoondedthe <br /> motion.
