For the remaining 20 criteria, Mr. Whritenour earns ratings ranging from 3.2 to 3.8. A rating <br />of 3 is considered acceptable. It should be noted, that for 16 of these 20 criteria, Mr. <br />Whritenour receives a poor or unacceptable rating from one Selectman, while the other 4 <br />• Selectmen rate him as performing at an acceptable level or better. <br />The performance criteria for which Mr. Whritenour earned the highest average ratings are: <br />Resilient <br />Energy and motivation maintained in spite of constant demands; handles stress well. <br />Financial Management <br />Accurately and concisely reports (and projects) the financial condition; management practices and policies are designed <br />to maintain (or achieve) a sound long range financial condition - uses debt cautiously, plans for the long term <br />replacement and maintenance of equipment and infrastructure. <br />Credits Governing Body <br />Credits municipal accomplishments to the policy makers, does not feed personal ego. <br />Ethical <br />Conforms to the high standards of the profession; knowsfollows and promotes the International City Manager's <br />Association Code of Ethics. <br />Hiring <br />Recognizes the value of excellent employees and uses all reasonable efforts to assure the best individuals are recruited <br />and hired. <br />• Relationship with BOS <br />Humor <br />Maintains and shares an appropriate sense of humor to lighten the load. <br />11 <br />Risk Management <br />Implements effective programs to limit liability and loss <br />The performance criteria for which Mr. Whritenour earned the lowest average ratings are: <br />Follow -Through <br />Organizing <br />Ability to arrange work and efficiently apply resources. <br />Relationships with Elected and Appointed Boards/Committees/Officials <br />Developing Management Techniques <br />Communications with Employees <br />Provides sufficient information to keep employees productive, motivated and part of the team; understands their concerns. <br />Mashpee Board of Selectmen - September 7, 1993 <br />Summary Report - Annual Evaluation of Robert Whritenour <br />
