SERGEANTS <br /> 10. Inspect the daily log before beginning his tour of duty and familiarize <br /> himself with all important matters that have occurred since his last <br /> inspection of said daily log. He shall make note of all complaints at <br /> roll call and make certain that the officers under his supervision are <br /> giving them proper attention. <br /> '11. Performs various administrative duties for superiors. <br /> 12. Evaluates crime and Incident reports completed by subordinate officers. <br /> 13. Receives and responds to complaints and requests for police assistance, <br /> dispatching personnel and equipment to the scene of emergencies and . <br /> disturbances as needed. <br /> r 14. Investigates complaints against employees of the Police Department and <br /> reports findings to superiors. <br /> 15. Drafts general orders, and special orders, training bulletins, and other <br /> memoranda for superiors. <br /> 16. Prepare Performance Evaluations on all Police Department employees as <br /> directed by the Chief of Police'or Deputy Chief of Police. <br /> 17. At the direction of the Chief of Police or Deputy Chief of Police, ob— <br /> serve all probationary Police Department employees, and prior to the <br /> expiration of their probation period, submit to the Chief a detailed <br /> written report concerning their qualifications to secure permanent status <br /> and his opinion as to the desirability of their retention. <br /> 18. Perform all other police duties as required in accordance with Department <br /> rules, regulations, and orders. <br /> C. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES / REPORTING AND NOTIFICATION <br /> 1. Comply with the Departmental records and reporting system and instruct <br /> police officers in the proper method of reporting. <br /> 2. Report to the Chief of Police and/or Deputy Chief of Police all serious <br /> or unusual occurrences that occur during his tour of duty. <br /> 3. Cause reports to be filed on preliminary investigations and periodic <br /> reports on the status of more in—depth investigations, calling to the <br /> attention of his Officer In Charge any significant developments in all <br /> Investigations. <br /> PAGE 3 of 3 <br />
