10 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> October 53 2009 <br /> NEW BUSINES& <br /> Road betterment baterertplication: <br /> The Board of Selectmen,was in receipt of an application for an abatement <br /> f a street betterment dated June 2 , 2009 for property identified as 105 <br /> Lakewood Drive. Correspondence was received from Town Counsel <br /> dated September 29, 2 o9,with respect to this regard. <br /> The opinion of Town Counsel; page two,-last paragraph, last sentence; "I <br /> believe that the street betterment assessment with respect to the property <br /> of 105 Lakewood Drive is appropriate and that the Applicant has failed to <br /> establish a legal basis for entitlement to an abatement thereof.'" The <br /> sentence was react aloud into the record. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cahalane to 1, a, the Street Betterment <br /> ,abatement Request for property identified as 105 Lakewood Drive. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Taylor, <br /> VT : Unanimous. -o. <br /> Habitat for Humanity—Letter of So rt for Local,Initiative Project: <br /> t: <br /> The Selectmen reviewed a draft letter to Habitat-for Humanity regarding <br /> their vote of support to Habitat's application to qualify the gree affordable <br /> housing units referenced as 67 Fox Hill Road, 19 Lakewood give and 38 <br /> and 44 Timberland Drive as a Local Initiative Project(LIP). <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cook to approve the letter to Habitat for <br /> Humanity dated October 5,2009 relative to the gree referenced <br /> affordable housing units as a Local Initiative Project. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Richardson. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. #o. <br /> i <br />
