Board of Selectmen Minutes December 6, 2010 COMMUNICATIONS &CORRESPONDENCE Regional Solid waste Rana ement Forum Discussion: The regional solid waste forum was attended by Joyce Mason,the Town Manager, Selectman Michael Richardson and Catherine Laurent, the Director of Public Works last month. It was well attended with representatives from the fifteen Cape communities. The recommendation of the meeting was to work jointly with the Cape Cod Cormnission and the Solid Waste Advisory Committee to explore more detailed options s t how participating commuruties can best leverage collective regional assets when reviewing future disposal and solid waste management options. Pat Daley,-Director of Technical Services at the Cape Cod Commission was in attendance to give an update on the Solid Waste Advisory Committee activities this past year. Ms. Daley is also expected to give the l lashpee Board of Selectmen ars F overview of the activities in the future. The Selectmen were requested to endorse the regionaJ approach and designate a representative to attend the meetings of the Cape Cod Con fission with this goal in rind. The Board of Selectmen in support of the endeavor indicated that Catherine Laurent would be attending the December 1,20 1 o meeting n behalf of e Town o 1lh�. Solar Photovoltaic Projects., The Tom advancing forward with final language amendments to approve a contract at the enol of the month for the long awaited-solar photovoltaic energy panels to be installed on the roofs of the Mashpee Nigh School,the Town Hall building and Senior Center.
