I <br /> i <br /> Board of Sltrn <br /> Minutes <br /> July 2 , 2011 <br /> NEWBUSINESS: <br /> Recommendation for Bid Acceptance Installation ofStar Photovoltaic System <br /> t Mashpee Landfill: <br /> Three proposals were received in response to the IFI' for the installation of a <br /> solar photovoltaic system on the capped landfill through a 'ower Purchase <br /> Agreement. Based on the review of the qualifications and interviews, it is <br /> recommended the Selectmen move forward with contract negotiations with <br /> American Capital Energy (ACE). <br /> The recommendation for award of contract was contained in the Selectmen's <br /> inf nnati nal packet in a memorandum from the Director of'public Works s dated <br /> July 19, 2011. The Selectmen also received documentation from the DPW <br /> Director relative to the bidder qualifications dated ,lune 2 , 201 1.- (enclosed in <br /> official Selectmen's copy) <br /> It upas disclosed ACE was recently awarded a contract through the Cape <br /> Vineyard Electric Cooperative for various solar projects including a number of <br /> landfill sites. The firm is confident the Mashpee.Landfill project will b <br /> underway this spring. The firm is also expected to review other areas within the <br /> site that-nay be suitable in the future for additional solar panels. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Richardson to accept the recommendation for <br /> bid acceptance, and move forward with contract negotiations with American <br /> Capital Energy. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman O'Hara. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous,, 5-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Taylor,yes Selectman Richardson,yes <br /> Selectman Sherman,yes Selectman Cahalane,yes <br /> Selectman O'Hara,yes Opposed, none <br /> i <br />
