Members recruited volunteers to remove trash,paint walkways,and <br /> paint a new mural along the Cape Cod Canal. <br /> Herring Run Cleanup <br /> Members helped the Town of Barnstable to remove debris and brush Brewster <br /> from herring runs in the Marstons Mills River and the Santuit River. <br /> Environmental Education <br /> Protective Shorebird Fencing Members taught worm farm lessons at the Lower Cape Children's <br /> Members assisted Mass Audubon's Coastal Waterbird Program with Garden. <br /> installing protective plover fencing. <br /> Nickerson Park Fire Fuel Reduction <br /> Coastal Mitigation Nursery Maintenance Members removed and chipped downed trees to reduce the threat of <br /> Members cleaned and weeded the Town's Coastal Mitigation Nursery in wildfire. <br /> Centerville and transplanted beach grass from the nursery to Estey Ave. <br /> in Cotuit. Members assisted the Brewster DNR with the spring oyster cull. <br /> Halloween Safety Day Stony Brook Herring Run Clearing <br /> Members educated children about fire and Halloween safety Members removed overhanging branches and debris from the herring <br /> run. <br /> Long Pond Community Garden Cleanup <br /> Members assisted in tree clearing and garden cleanup.
