The hauling of trash is based on 3500 tons per year. Vere is no
mm um trailer weight. However, if the trash collected exceeds 3500 tons, the
Town would pay for hauling the additional tonnage on a per trip basis with a
mnumum trailer weight of 15 tons.
During the first six months, the trash will be hauled to the Upper Cape Regional
Transfer Station, after which, the facility is expected to close. For the remainder
of the year the trash would be hauled to New Bedford Waste Services Mn
Rochester. If the Town were to implement the Pay-As-You Throw or SMART
program, the contract would be reviewed as there would be a reduction in
taranportation costs.
