Lynne Waterman seconded the motion. The motion was unanimously approved. <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> Discussion of the Barnstable County "Needs & Assessment Intake Form" <br /> Ruth Elias opened the meeting by starting her concern at the direction the Committee is heading, and <br /> expressed her feeling that there is ar lack of progress by the Committee to move forward. Stalled <br /> projects include plans to receive a reward of grant funds, and finalizing contract priorities. Ms. Elias <br /> suggested establishing a subcommitteefor each of these goals in order to begin to see forward <br /> movement with positive results. <br /> Discussion followed as to the requirements associated with applying for a grant, including <br /> responsibility for writing of the grant, B S approval of the grant, administration of the grant if <br /> accepted, and fees involved. Once the grant is approved, the Town is responsible for <br /> administration of the grant. The other topic addressed was the purpose for which the grant money <br /> world be used. A suggestion was made that possibly an advocate from Massachusetts <br /> Rehabilitation Commission could provide support with disabled clients who need someone t <br /> advocate for them. <br /> *Subcommittee Appointments <br /> Marketin l utre fr: Elinor Glener and Veronica Warden agreed to Chair the Marketing <br /> etin <br /> Subcommittee, and will work on providing posters throughout the community with information about <br /> Human Services offerings. It was recommended that they clean with Supt. Brian Hyde prior t <br /> contacting the high school graphics instructor for help with preparing posters. <br /> 1 . <br />
