§5-25. Consultation with Town Departments. All departments are authorized and <br /> empowered to consult the Town Counsel at any time in connection with their duties, <br /> subject to the provisions of§5-20 of this Article. <br /> ARTICLE VZ -- Director of Public Works <br /> History: Adopted 5-7-1984 ATM Article 17 approved 9-17-1984. <br /> §5-26. Appointment; Term of Office. The_ Iovrn 1111a nr shall appoint a Director of <br /> Public Works for a term not to exceed three (3) years.L&c' Clra�°ter° �S�gi�i � <br /> §5-27. Powers and Duties. The Director of Public Works shall, under the direction of the <br /> Board of Selectmen, have full charge of all public ways, sidewalks, storm drains and <br /> maintenance of all Town buildings and grounds, except those lands under control of <br /> the Conservation Commission. <br /> §5-28. Authority. The Director of Public Works is authorized to issue permits for work to <br /> be performed upon Town highways or sections thereof. <br /> ARTICLE VI- Filling of Appointed Positions. <br /> A. The Selectmen crfatl7`o )?1111qa _cr, `e,�-v-cf_tI:-i-)—e , shall f ll the following appointed <br /> positions as indicated hereafter, with preference being given to residents of the <br /> Town. Any person appointed to any position shall be sworn to the faithful <br /> performance of said position by the Town Clerk prior to assuming the position. <br /> Once a person is so sworn it shall not be necessary in any subsequent year where <br /> the same person is reappointed to the same position to again be sworn. <br /> History: Added 10-5-1992 ATM Article 21 approved by Attorney General <br /> on 1-11-93. <br /> B.
