Minutes of Combined Meeting o Mashpee Design Review committee ars ashee Pian Review committee Hold Tuesday, June 18, 2018 l ash ee Town Hail Waquolt Meeting Room Design Review Members Present: Jonathan Fur h, Mary LeBlanc, and Joseph Cummings Plan Review Members Present: Charlie Maintanis, Local inspector Joyce Mason, Torn Manager -i Glen Harrington, Health Agent � Joel Clifford, Fire Inspector Scott a cline, Police Department Torn Fudala, Town Planner Charlie Maintanis called the meetingto order at ;o a.m. r Mashpee Commons Outdoor Movie Nights Thursday Evenings at 8:30 s Representative—Tom Feronte f •: Derr explained that Mashpee Commons is planning Tour Feronte and nary Derr appeared, Mary e � � g a Thursday night outdoor free movie event for the summer and she provided a copy of the Il ashpee Commons Summer Event Schedule. - Torn Feronte stated he and Mary sat down with Chief Baker, Inspector Clifford, and Richard Morgan last week to go over the location of the movie event. The biggest issue raised was the Fire Department connection located at the end of Building #29 right on Market Street.. lir. Feronte said that is why they designated that area as "no seating". • Does not affect any parking. • Il ashpee Commons did movie event last year, but not in this area. Location was too remote so that's why they moved it. Only negative comment last year was that people couldn't find it. • Scott Carline said if crowd control or other security issues arise, they should contact the Police Department} who will assist there In any gray. Torn Feronte said they would do that, if needed. Mary Derr said in the future they may try to have some food tacks; and in the future they might have a beer tent. Dien Harrington informed them if they do thatthen they have to came back to this Committee for review. Charlie Maintanis said he personally has responded to incidents where people mistakenly hit the gas pedal and so he has some concern about people sitting and only saver horses used to block the area. Charlie suggested using something more than saw horses—use something reflective, especially since it is a night event. Jonathan Furbush agreed and said it will be dark since you're showing a movie. He said he agrees with Charlie that something has to be done to protect.people, other than saw horses. Torn Feronte said in view of the concerns voiced by Charlie, he is willing to not allow parking in the first row up against the seating area during the movie event.
