4. In light of the seasonal use of equipment and amenities during the hurricane season,
who is in charge of emergency preparations, and what plans are in place for storm
preparedness and post-storm restoration?
5. The Westerly culvert leading from Sage Lot Pond to the marsh behind the Town's
parking lot has been badly eroded on both sides and needs to be stabilized before it is
needlessly eroded to the point of total collapse.
6. The trailer the
t eon westerly side of Great Oak Road (south of McGregor Road) has
been there for years and it's an eyesore. What is its current function? Who has authority
for its present placement? Is its continued presence necessary?
7. With respect to access to Dead Neck for disabled persons, we recommend that, in
light of all of the historic problems associated with unsupervised access to remote areas
of the Park, there be a definitive operation plan of handicapped access to Dead Neck and
strict supervision thereof to prevent unauthorized and potentially destructive access.
8. In light of the lack of supervisory and maintenance personnel, we recommend that
previous plans for construction within the Park be re-examined. It is our belief that all
structures, including snow fencing, which are intrusive on the natural environs of the Park
should be kept to a minimum.
Respectfully submitted by:
William Martiros
_ C76
Bruce cHenry
Winifred Woods
3
