<br /> oil spill on seagrasses.

<br /> structure,function,and dynamics of coastal and estuarine ecosystems with special emphasis on marine seagrasses,

<br /> abundance and population dynamics of these communities and restoration. My research directly addressed critical
<br /> management issues in the coastal zone of the United States and internationally. Daily,I worked on scientific teams
<br /> dealing with the conservation and restoration of coastal ecosystems providing expert consultation and scientific
<br /> research results in support of local,state,federal and international resource management programs conserving and
<br /> restoring marine resources.
<br /> 2006—present;Member of the Scientific Technical Advisory Committee for the Albemarle-Pamlico National
<br /> Estuary Program (APNEP). I provide scientific and technical guidance to the Albemarle-Pamlico National Estuary
<br /> Program on restoration and protection natural resources in the Albemarle-Pamlico region of North Carolina.

<br /> December, 2010; Conducted seagrass restoration workshop for Qatar Ministry of the Environment,Doha, Qatar.
<br /> November, 1990; Planned,organized and implement a national workshop to examine the capability of water quality
<br /> criteria,standards and monitoring programs to protect seagrasses. This workshop led to development of a number
<br /> of research and management programs intended for the protection of seagrasses throughout the United States.
