l ashpee Design Review Committee <br /> Minutes of Meeting Hell Tuesday, February 15, 2011 <br /> Mashpee Town Hall Meeting Room 3 <br /> Committee Members Present: Thomas O'Hara, and Bob nelson. <br /> Absent: Toni .Jalowy and David looharian. <br /> Also Present: Richard Stevens—.Building epartment <br /> Thomas O'Hara called the meeting to order at 8:42 a.m. <br /> e d uest for site Plan ApIRroval <br /> 723 Falmouth Road <br /> Hatem Enterprises Nominee Trust <br /> Modification of their Special Permit sP-00-2 <br /> Landscape and parking design_. <br /> Attorney Nike Ford and Project Engineer Taylor Dowdy appeared. Taylor Dowdy showed the <br /> landscape plan submitted and pointed out that each aide of the site is extensively landscaped. He <br /> said the idea is to infill the front of the site and to match heavy shrubbery on the side. Taylor Dowdy <br /> explained the landscape plan and provided details of what is planned to be planted. <br /> Bob Nelson mentioned that there was talk at the last ZBA meeting they had that there may be more <br /> parking. Mike Ford said they looked at trying to add a spot but that would hamper Fire Department <br /> access so they iron"t do that. Also, they thought about moving handicap spot but can't because that <br /> wouId be in violation of rules.since they have to-leave it-close to the door. 1 <br /> Mike Ford said they put the Fire Department template on and it works. <br /> Bob Nelson said the over-all concept is okay. He said personally he doesn't Mike this concept itself <br /> because'-people backing out from bays could be a problem. Mike Ford said only employees can back <br /> out of the bay. Bob Nelson said he doesn't think the concept is good safety- prise, but it is owner's <br /> concept. Torn O'Hara added that parking is on,the wrong side of the lot but It is'what It is and it will <br /> work-. <br /> { like Ford said they will take a look at idea of a "temporary spot for inspection purposes only" as <br /> suggested by Toni and Bob. <br /> CONCLUSION: Both Torn O'Hara and Bob Nelson approved the plan as presented with <br /> leaving the option to the landscaper if they want to throw some color and trees In there to do <br /> so. <br /> The Design Review Committee to continue in a combined meeting with the Plan Review Committee. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> i <br /> 41n Giliberti, Recording secretary <br />
