.1
Mr. Bornstein referenced issue#1, stating that the site offered parking for 120 cars and that the
spaces did not block any doors. Mr. Fudala confirmed that the existing parking.lines did not match
the approved plan and recommended-the possibility that the Planning Board authorize the striping
through a!Minor Site Plan Amendment. 'Dere was support among Board members to do so and Mr.
Fudala agreed to add it to the agenda for-the next meeting. It was recommended that Mr. Bornstein
submit an updated drawing or aerial photograph.
Referencing issue# , Mr. Bornstein noted that hydro seed initially washed off of a 45-60
degree slope, but that grass was noir growing in the area. heir. Bornstein added that it was a difficult
area to perform maintenance. Mr. Rowley stated that a 6 foot chain link fence at the base of the
slope prevented the maintenance and added that previous erosion had been rectified with jute
netting and re-seeding. Mr. Bornstein Mated that the fence was a requirement from the Design
Review Board. Mr. Rowley suggested the passibility that it could eventually become a naturalized
slope with trees, but that it was presently well vegetated, essentially by weeds, preventing erosion.
Regarding the foundation openings on Bonding 2, Mr. Bornstein stated that all openings had been
closed, except for one, to contain the dirt but still allow access to construction materials. Mr.
Rowley reported that, although there was no erosion, the area around the second building was to be
grassed according to the approved plan. Mr. Bornstein responded that the building was
approximately 400 feet long, with materials being located behind it, and that it did not serve any
purpose to grass the area. fir. Fudala read for the record Condition#25 that required installation of
temporary landscape materials or any other means of preventing.erosion on areas disturbed for more
than 4 months. It-was rioted that the Board approved blocking the openings. Mr. Bdzarini and the
Chair agreed that the solution was acceptable as long as there was no erosion.
It-was noted that the construction material s continued to be stored i n the foundation but Mr. Fudala
stated that there was no specific condition related to the issue. Mr. Bornstein responded that he had
ordered extra blocks which he used to close the openings m the building foundation and thauthe site
was located at the back of an indusuial zone area. lir. Bornstein noted that he removed a
number of items and that there was also mulch on site.
Mr. Bornstein reported that the two dead trees had been removed and Mr. Fudala suggested that
they be replaced in order to-cifthe landscaping. Mr. Bornstein indicated that hundreds of trees
had been installed so that it would be unnecessary to replace the two trees, suggesting the possibility
that he and 111r. Fudala review the trees. Board members were in agreement that Mr. Fudala review
the trees, compare them to the plan and report back to the Board. lir. Fuda.la referenced Condition
#20.
Regarding Issue ,Mr. Rowley reported that pavement had not been extended to the-foundation o
the second building and left unfinished. Mr. Rowley suggested that the 3 foot wide area had been
removed to allow for landscaping, but.thact no landscaping hadoccurred. The issue does not present
any problems to the site. Likewise,Mr. Crowley referenced Issue#7 regarding the misaligned
backs of the buildings compared to the pian, but suggested that it may not require any action from
the Board. It was uggested that Mr. Bornstein submit drawings reflecting the existing conditions
of the buildings and lir. Bornstein responded that Ahe existing plan was on file. lir. Bornstein will
re-send the plans, Mr. Mullin stauted that he did not vivant to make the process more difficult for
applicants.
3
