The word sanitary can be changed to safe. <br /> Mr. Babcock said the primary reason for public water i s for fire protection <br /> and that is not mentioned here, <br /> Tom agreed, he will add that. <br /> SOLID AND HAZARDOUS WASTE MANAGEMENT <br /> Tom said he received comments from Dave Hall from the Commission, who is <br /> present at tonight's meeting but the Board of Health has not yet seen them. <br /> Some were just minor word changes. r <br /> Nancy caffyn questioned policy # - does it have to be so specific? <br /> Tom said the Board of Health feels they are close to the 20%. <br /> Dave Hall said the State mandate is 46 by the year 20006 <br /> He does not think the cape as a whole will be able to achieve that <br /> He surveys all the terns and his data for l lashpee in 1993 shows 946 tons <br /> were composted, 338 were recycled. If you were to <br /> find out how many homes were assessed below this "affordable" f i gu re, we <br /> may have already reached the 10%.. <br /> Tom explained the state definition of affordable means subsidized . There <br /> must be a mechanism so that it remains affordable. <br /> Nancy thinks we should call it subsidized then because that is a different <br /> issue; who should be subsidized? Should the Town subsidize? <br /> Tom agreed we have a lot of affordable Mousing that does not Meet the <br /> 6 <br />
