r <br /> 1 <br /> l <br /> E. Review procedures Upon receipt of a complaint conforming with the above procedures, <br /> the Executive Secretary shall review the complaint and any accompanying materials. He <br /> shall alsop rovide a copy of said complaint, as well as a copy of the accompanying materials <br /> (or an opportunity to review any materials which can not be adequately copied), to the agent <br /> or agency against which the grievance is alleged. Said agent or agency shall respond, in <br /> writing, to the Executive Secretary within fourteen (14) days of receipt of the complaint <br /> from the Executive Secretary, stating whether or not the allegation is believed to be correct, <br /> explaining the circumstances surrounding the subject of the allegation (if known) and <br /> p g <br /> proposing, if appropriate, measures to resolve the alleged cause of the complaint. <br /> Upon receipt of said response, the Executive Secretary shall review said response and, based <br /> p p <br /> upon said response and his own review of the complaint, shall prepare a written finding <br /> regarding the complaint, including a statement of what action, if any, is required to correct <br /> the alleged cause of the complaint. A copy of said finding shall be forwarded to the <br /> complainant by certified mail, to the agent or agency against which the complaint was filed, <br /> and to the Board of Selectmen. <br /> F. Review by Selectmen Should a complaint be filed against the Executive Secretary, or <br /> should a complainant be unsatisfied by the findings and response of the Executive Secretary <br /> to a filed complaint, she or he may file, in addition to the required form, a written request <br /> that the Board of Selectmen review said complaint at a public meeting (either the <br /> complainant, the Board or the Executive Secretary may request that said review be held in <br /> executive session if otherwise allowed by law) to be held within twenty-one (21) days of <br /> said filing. The Board shall hear evidence from the complainant, the agent or agency against <br /> which the complaint was made and any other relevant testimony and shall take whatever <br /> action it deems to be necessary to correct the allege cause of the complaint. The Board shall <br /> cause to be prepared a written finding and description of the actions required, if any, to <br /> correct the cause of the complaint, which shall be delivered by certified mail to the <br /> complainant. <br /> Theserocedures are hereb adopted by the Mashpee Board of Selectmen. <br /> p y p <br /> Date George R.
