With the <br /> upcoming construction of the bikeway on Rte. 130,it is in our best <br /> interest to coordinate our efforts to construct the water main this <br /> fall indicated Mr.Whritenour. <br /> Communication was received from David Rich, Operations Manager <br /> for the Water District dated September 12, 1996 in response to the <br /> proposed project. <br /> As noted, the issue of calculating the Town's share has yet been determined <br /> by the Water District. Three scenario's are currently under review. The <br /> Water District is conducting a public informational meeting to discuss the <br /> project and related costs on Tuesday, October 1, 1996. <br /> Discussion followed with respect to the three scenario's as proposed <br /> for the connection of Town water to the Town Hall facility. <br /> Mr.Whritenour recommended the Board accept the selection of scenario#1 <br /> to begin the startling point of a$60,000 contribution from the Town. The <br /> proposal if acceptable is approximately one half of total project estimate <br /> of $130,000. <br /> Mr.Whritenour indicated that he will attend the informational meeting <br /> on behalf of the Board of Selectmen, and will further review estimated <br /> cost savings with the Director of Public Works. <br /> In consensus, the Board stated that a contribution of approximately <br /> one half of the total project estimate would be acceptable providing that <br /> the fee is inclusive of any further connection charges. <br />
