The number and
layout of the fields has not changed since the school's construction in 1996 as a high school. Since
that time, the number of athletic teams using the fields in both spring and fall has increased, in
part because of the relocation of the middle school to the building and the addition of other sports
such as lacrosse. The increased use has made it difficult to maintain the natural grass fields in
proper/safe playing conditions.
