The Commission <br /> shall be composed of five members, all residents of the Town between the ages of 14 to 21 years <br /> of age. Members of the commission will be appointed by the Town of Mashpee Board of <br /> Selectmen and shall be comprised of a Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, Secretary and Two <br /> Members-At-Large, or take any other action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by Petition <br /> Explanation:The Youth Commission shall meet monthly to research and study the needs and <br /> problems of youth in the Town of Mashpee, develop plans and programs to be run by the Town, <br /> implement programs in conjunction with the Town of Mashpee Recreation Department. The <br /> Youth Commission is to report directly to the Town Board of Selectmen all its findings and <br /> recommendations and request assistance from the various youth agencies in the Town of <br /> Mashpee and State to establish and implement youth programs <br /> The Board of Selectmen recommends approval of Article by a vote of <br /> The Finance Committee recommends approval of Article by a vote of <br /> Article <br /> To see if the Town will vote to replace the Town of Mashpee Seal and give direction to the <br /> Historical Commission to lead this project while providing updates to the Board of Selectmen, or <br /> take any other action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by Petition <br /> Explanation: The Town of Mashpee Seal is a replica of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts State <br /> Seal, currently the state is looking at changing the Massachusetts State Seal as it is a reminder of <br /> the genocide and history between the Commonwealth and Indigenous inhabitants. This will give <br /> the Town of Mashpee's Historical Commission the authority to conduct research and provide the <br /> Town with updates. <br /> The Board of Selectmen recommends approval of Article by a vote of <br /> The Finance Committee recommends approval of Article by a vote of <br /> Article <br /> To see if the Town will vote to adopt the following resolution to protect the civil liberties of <br /> Mashpee residents. We join here with the towns of Eastham, Dennis, Wellfleet, Provincetown, <br /> Brewster and Truro to adopt a resolution to protect the civil liberties of our residents. <br /> Whereas the rights and liberties of the citizens and non-citizen residents of Mashpee, protected <br /> by the Constitutions of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the United. States of America <br /> include; Freedom of speech and assembly; The right to privacy; The rights to counsel and due <br /> process in judicial proceedings; Protection from unreasonable searches and seizures; The right to <br /> be notified of charges against them. <br />
