Article 2 To see if the Town will vote to appropriate and transfer the sum of $134,000 from revenue available for appropriation to the Snow & Ice Account, or take any other action relating thereto. Submitted by the Department of Public Works Explanation: This article is necessary to fund a deficit in the Snow & Ice Account. The Board of Selectmen recommend approval of Article 2 by a vote of 5-0 The Finance Committee recommend approval of Article 2 by a vote of 6-0 Motion made by Selectman John Cahalane. Motion: I move the Town vote to appropriate and transfer the sum of $134,000 from revenue available for appropriation to the Snow & Ice Account. Motion passes unanimously at 7:15 PM. Article 3 To see if the Town will vote to appropriate and transfer the sum of $74,000 from revenue available for appropriation to the Retirement Expense Account, or take any other action relating thereto. Submitted by the Town Accountant/Finance Director Explanation: The initial estimate that was budgeted for the FY 2017 Barnstable County Retirement Assessment was less than the final figure. This article will fund the difference between the estimated and actual assessment figures.
