Submitted by Petition Explanation: The Town of Mashpee Seal is a replica of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts State Seal, currently the state is looking at changing the Massachusetts State Seal 85 it is e reminder of the genocide and history between the [onnnnonvv8a|1h and Indigenous inhabitants. This will give the Town ofMashp8e'sHistorical Commission the authority toconduct research and provide the Town with updates. Whereas the rights and liberties of the citizens and non-citizen residents of Mashpee, protected by the Constitutions of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the United States of America include: Freedom of speech and assembly; The right to privacy; The rights to counsel and due process in judicial proceedings; Protection from unreasonable searches and seizures; The right to be notified of charges against them.
