Gottlieb <br /> RE: Request to add an Article to the October 21, 2019 Town Meeting Warrant <br /> Description <br /> Discussion of adding a Town Meeting Warrant Article to assure compliance with the rental <br /> property regulations and permit requirements. <br /> Background: At the Joint Regulatory Boards Meeting on July 15, 2019 there was discussion about <br /> regulations and permits for rental properties,and it was suggested that the Board have Town <br /> Counsel draft an article to address this. <br /> Recommendation <br /> It is recommended that the Board of Selectmen vote to direct the Town Manager to have Town <br /> Counsel draft an article for inclusion on the October Town Meeting Warrant for this purpose. <br /> Pros and Cons <br /> The Pros are that the Town could assure that the rental properties are properly permitted and <br /> regulated. <br /> The Cons of are that the Town has little or no control over the rental properties in Town. <br />
