MOTION: Mr. Balzarini made a motion to recommend the Road Taking Procedures & Policies <br /> to the Board of Selectmen for their review and adoption with a carbon copy to the Director of <br /> Department of Public Works. Mr. Callahan seconded the motion. All voted unanimously. <br /> Mr. Lehrer will draft a memo. <br /> CHAIRMAN'S REPORT <br /> Not at this time. <br /> BOARD MEMBER COMMITTEE UPDATES <br /> Cape Cod Commission-No update <br /> Community Preservation Committee-The Chair reported that there would be a meeting <br /> tomorrow to discuss land acquisitions, affordable housing and the annual plan, as well as funds <br /> requested for a boat ramp. <br /> Design Review Committee-No meeting <br /> Plan Review-No meeting <br /> Environmental Oversight Committee-Mr. Cummings reported that the helium balloon bylaw <br /> would be reviewed at the next meeting, in preparation for October Town Meeting. MVP planning was <br /> in process and 10 community garden plots were currently available. The Estuary Restoration Shellfish <br /> Program has hired three workers for the summer to assist with propagation and 40 volunteers assisted <br /> with the placement of oyster bags. The herring program was complete and the Quashnet River <br /> realignment was in process. <br /> Greenway Project& Quashnet Footbridge-The Chair and Mr. Hansen would meet to discuss <br /> the matter further <br /> Historic District Commission-Mr. Balzarini reported that he had attended a dedication <br /> ceremony for Earle Mills and Frank Lloyd. <br /> MMR Military Civilian Community Council-MMR Joint Land Use Study-Mr. Lehrer will <br /> provide contact information for Mr. Phelan. <br /> UPDATES FROM TOWN PLANNER <br /> Zoning Amendment Discussion-Mr. Lehrer reported that he wished to discuss three items, the <br /> first two of which were relevant to the upcoming deadline to submit Warrant Articles to the Board of <br /> Selectmen by July 8, for October Town Meeting. <br /> Regarding Accessory Dwelling Units, Mr. Lehrer reported that the Chair had previously <br /> provided a table showing the similarities and differences between the Commission model and <br /> Mashpee's Accessory Dwelling bylaw. Mr. Lehrer wished to propose an Article that would amend the <br /> existing Bylaw to match the Cape Cod Commission's model bylaw. The Chair stated that she had <br /> provided a summary and suggested that the Board review the chart to determine the content to be <br /> incorporated, prior to Mr. Lehrer drafting the Article. Mr. Lehrer suggested that time was limited, but <br /> he could prepare a draft if the Board were to meet July 3. <br /> In addition,Mr. Lehrer had been invited to discuss with FDIC, a Zoning proposal specific to <br /> the development of housing and eliminating or amending the thresholds to create new types of housing <br /> to be built in appropriate parts of Mashpee. Mr. Lehrer would be meeting with EDIC next week and <br /> wished to also work with the Planning Board. The Chair suggested there may not be sufficient time to <br /> address the matter, adding that it was the responsibility of the Planning Board to consider multi-family <br /> 8 <br />
