Submitted by the waterways Commission "Article XIV <br /> Board of Appeals <br /> Explanation:This article seeks Town Meeting approval <br /> to allow the Waterways Commission,on an annual basis Section 5-55. Appointment; members; associate <br /> to be responsible for the expenditures of waterway members. <br /> improvement funds under the direction of the Board of <br /> Selectmen. The Board of Selectmen shall appoint three members <br /> of the Board of Appeals. one shall be a member of the <br /> Recommendation: The Finance Committee does not Planning Board, one shall be a member of the Zoning <br /> recommend approval. Board of Appeals, and the third shall be the Director of <br /> Public works.The Board of Selectmen shall also appoint <br /> Motion:Motion to transfer$20,000 from the Waterways three or more associate members to sit on the Board in 3 <br /> Improvement Account to the waterways Commission case of the absence,inability to act or interest on the part { <br /> Maintenance Account with said funds to be expended of a member thereof,or in the event of a vacancy on said <br /> under the direction of the Board of Selectmen. board until said vacancy is filled. <br /> Motion carries Yes 77/No 75 9:47 p.m. Section 5.56.
