Minutes of Meeting of
Design Review Committee
Held Tuesday, July 16, 2019
There will be handicapped parking in the front. All the other parking will be
on the side and rear. The landscaping will have greenery in'the front to
break up the fagade.
Miles asked what the garage door was in the front. He asked about the pitch
of the roof, and what the esthetic reason was. Dan Ojala said that the roof
pitch is typically flat on an industrial building. The dimension is 1 inch per
foot and is metal. Miles asked what the esthetic reasons of.the building
were. Dan said rather than putting the doors broad side, they reduced the
look to one door. They bumped out the office area rather than having a
boxed area. Attorney Kirrane said that the garage door is to allow vehicles
to drive through the building for loading material. There's a set of stairs
inside that corner. Dan said that there could be a window put in to add more
light.
Miles asked about the building color, the material, and the pitch of the roof.
The color is light a light brown, and the material is a metal siding and metal
roof. The height on the building is 30 ft. Lou Seminara said that most of
these buildings have a 1 inch pitch, and are designed to hold snow.
Charlie asked what the heating and cooling was for the building. Lou said
there will be one compressor on the side of the building, and there will be
space heaters in the other bays.
Miles asked about the lighting on the exterior of the building. There will be
lights on the building only. There will be six LED downcast lights. Dan will
provide the lighting specifications.
Bi(I Blaisdell had no comments.
Miles wanted to know if there were any windows in the rear, and asked if
there could be some installed. Dan said that he can install a door with a
glass window.
Kevin said that if windows are a critical element, they can be installed in
the rear.
There were no more comments.
Bill made a motion to recommend the project at 21 Evergreen Circle with
the following conditions;
1. Install three windows to the rear of the building.
2. Provide the specifications for the lighting.
2
