15 Board of Selectmen Minutes-Executive Session October 7, 2019 Discuss Strat V v Regarding Vpgommg Contract Negotiations µwith the Folwlowi Collective B Units: For disclosure, Selectman David W. Weeden indicated the SEIU endorsed his campaign. To date no monetary donations have been received. A disclosure form has been filed with respect to this regard. Town Manager Rodney C. Collins discussed strategy with the Board of Selectmen regarding upcoming contract negotiations with the following Collective Bargaining Units; Mashpee Permanent Fire Fighters Association, International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) Local 2519: MASS. C.O.P., Local 324, Unit A—Patrol Officers and Detectives: MASS. C.O.P., Local 320, Unit B —Sergeants: Laborer's International Union of North America(LIUNA), MASS Public Employee's Local 1249, Administrator's Unit A—Administrators: Laborer's International Union of North America(LIUNA), MASS Public Employee's Local 1249, Administrator's Unit B—Administrators: Laborer's International Union of North America(LIUNA), MASS Public Employee's Local 1249, Administrator's Unit C—Police Lieutenants: Service Employees International Union (SEIU), AFL-CIO Local 888, Public Works Unit A: Service Employees International Union (SEIU), AFL-CIO Local 888, Public Works Unit B: Service Employees International Union (SEIU), Local 888, Clerical/Library/Dispatchers Chapter: It was disclosed that all respective contracts with the (9) Collective Bargaining Units as listed above are due to expire on June 30, 2020. It is hopeful that settlements would be achieved to bring forth to the May 2020 Town Meeting. It is the intention of Town Manager Rodney C. Collins to establish fundamental ground rules with all pending collective bargaining contracts treating all units fairly and consistently. And,to adequately staff personnel in terms of mission critical needs while remaining within the median of the 15 Cape towns. It was agreed the dialogue regarding the collective bargaining process with the Town Manager would be further reviewed in normal course with the Board of Selectmen.
