Mrs. Botsford reported to the board that the local TD Bank branch is closing with the closest
branch about 20 minutes away. All of our accounts are with TD Bank and so this will be very
inconvenient. Mrs. Botsford suggested to the board that they consider transferring our accounts
to Rockland Trust. Rockland Trust has a branch just a minute up the street and Mrs. Botsford
recently attended a meeting in with the government banking department gave a presentation on
all the services offered to housing authorities flee of charge. A motion was made by Lisa
Meizinger and seconded by Kevin Shackett to accept the Treasurer's Report as presented
and to approve transferring all housing authority bank accounts from TD Bank to
Rockland Trust. The motion carried unanimously. Mrs. Botsford will get the paperwork
together and start the process.
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR'S REPORT & UPDATES: Mrs. Botsford reported that we still
have one vacancy at Breezy Acres that Carol is working hard to fill. CHAMP is still creating
several roadblocks to filling units in a timely fashion. Extensions are being requested of DHCD
because of this. We have one vacancy at Asher's Path. An applicant is in the process of being
qualified and will lease up soon. The new MRVP Program Representative position has been
filled.
The AUP (Agreed Upon Procedures) is being completed by the auditor and Mrs. Botsford is
waiting for the report. The auditor did mention a couple small issues that may need to be
resolved and addressed, but there was nothing major expected.
OLD BUSINESS:
A). Management Agreement: Mrs. Botsford reported that things were going fine with the
management agreements now. A fee-for-service is being charged to Carver and Brewster for the
maintenance assistance we are giving. Monthly bills go to each housing authority.
NEW BUSINESS:
A). Five-Year C vital Improvement Plan: Mrs. Botsford had distributed the plan to members.
She reviewed the plan in detail. A motion was made by Kevin Shackett and seconded by
Richard Halpern to approve the Five-Year Capital Improvement Plan as presented. The
motion carried unanimously.
OTHER BUSINESS: none
COMMUNICATIONSWORRESPONDENCE: none that hasn't already been mentioned. It
was noted that the town clerk had announced that there were two seats available for election to
the board this year, which is incorrect. Mrs. Botsford stated she didn't believe there were any
seats up this year at all, but she will double-check with Ms. Dami.
NEXT MEETING: The next meeting will be Thursday, March 12, 2020 at 5:00 PM unless
something comes up before then. We will meet at 766 Falmouth Road,Unit 4A.
MEETING ADJOURNMENT: A motion was made by Kevin Shacket and seconded by
Lisa Meizinger to adjourn. The motion carried. The meeting was adjourned at 6:58 PM.
