Issues discussed
included:
--If garden topsoil is being stored by DPW will it be available for us. Otherwise, can we
use soil they have at DPW (not compost)
--Gravel base for the parking extension will need to be topped by 1-2" of shells
--Will DPW be doing turf reseeding where needed
--Beds will need to be graded 6" down so planting soil can be added when bed frames
are constructed. Would we/Catherine Laurent contract with Lawrence Lynch for that
work?
--Ideally planting beds will be decompacted prior to frames being built and set on site.
--We need to locate where the outer planting will be done, outside of new fencing, and
prepare soil.
--Figure out location of pathway(s) outside of the community garden area.
MCGAC Minutes of December 18, 2019
