This article seeks to protect the health of its citizens and the unique natural beauty <br /> and irreplaceable natural resources of the Town of Mashpee, and given that inexpensive, safe, <br /> and environmentally-friendly alternatives to expanded polystyrene foam are easily obtained, it is <br /> beneficial to phase out the use of this material. Expanded polystyrene foam is made from <br /> petroleum-based materials that never biodegrade, and often becomes roadside litter that can <br /> blow into our waterways. <br /> Article <br /> To see if the 'Town gill vote to amend Chaipter 2 — Town Meetings,- Article I — Miscellia,neous <br /> Provisions; §2.1—Annual Town Meeting,a,nd, Election of the Town's Bylaws F as follows: <br /> F: Effective January 1, 2021, the regular Annual Town Election of Town Officers will be held, on the <br /> first Saturday iin May immediately following the May Annual Town Meeting,, at such place as <br /> determined by the Board of Selectmen. <br /> or take any other action relating thereto. <br /> Submitted by the Town Clerk <br /> Explanation-. This article seeks to move the Annuial Town Election back to the first Saturday in May <br /> following the Toven's Annual Town Meeting. The Town has hosted a variety of different days with no <br /> significant increase in voter tuirnout.
