GOALS FOR 2020-21 <br /> o PRIORITY--Continue to monitor data related to COVID-19 and administer reopening of all town <br /> facilities and operations as swiftly and efficiently as possible while maintaining appropriate <br /> protection of staff and the general public. <br /> o PRIORITY—Oversee implementation of Nitrogen Management Plan and associated water quality <br /> initiatives.Coordinate planning and implementation between BOS and Sewer Commission for the <br /> planning and design of Phase I of wastewater system as approved at Town Meeting, including <br /> the timely submission of applications for SRF loans and other forms of financial support and the <br /> preparation of necessary warrant articles for construction. <br /> o PRIORITY_ Introduce body camera devices for police officers. <br /> o Endeavor to settle all outstanding collective bargaining agreements. <br /> o Implement security and safety measures for Town Hall departments. (Locking mechanisms) <br /> o Initiate Harbor Management Plan <br /> o Review Use of Force policies with Chief of Police to ensure that updated and professional <br /> methods,techniques and tactics are being practiced and trained for. <br /> o Review practices and procedures for all departmental administrative complaints to ensure the <br /> strongest accountability and transparency. <br /> o Review operating protocols and externally faced business practices 'of' departments and <br /> implement appropriate modernized modifications 'to enhance customer service and to emphasize <br /> transition to online and mail transactions for routine business between town and residents, <br /> whenever appropriate. <br /> • Establish employee in-house training program to increase awareness of cultural and historical <br /> heritage of Mashpee. <br /> • Review hiring practices and procedures of the Town to ensure that appropriate preference is <br /> provided to Town residents and the workforce reflects the composition of the community to the <br /> best of the Town's abilities. <br /> o Reorganize Library chain of command with Director for purposes of operational efficiency. <br /> o Enhance inventory control with documentation of all town owned property that is issued or <br /> assigned for official capacity use. <br />
