8 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> June 1, 2020 <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> Discussion and Approval of Proclamation: Race Amity—June 14, 2020: <br /> Correspondence was received from Teresa Donovan dated May 14, 2020 regarding the upcoming date for <br /> the Race Amity Day which is recognized by many communities on the second Sunday in June. Due to the <br /> uncertainty of the stage of recovery, there are no planned public events this year. The Board of Selectmen <br /> was requested to proclaim June 14, 2020 as Race Amity Day in Mashpee to convey the message of <br /> friendship and unity to the people of Mashpee. <br /> The Proclamation was read aloud into the record by the Chairman. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Sherman to adopt the Proclamation; Race Amity Day proclaiming June <br /> 14,2020 as Race Amity Day in the Town of Mashpee. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman O'Hara. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Gottlieb,yes Selectman Cotton,yes Selectman O'Hara,yes <br /> Selectman Sherman,yes Selectman Weeden,yes Opposed, none <br /> TOWN MANAGER UPDATES (continued) <br /> Nuisance Abatement: The Board of Health met on May 21, 2020 in executive session to discuss strategy <br /> regarding the nuisance abatement on Echo Road. There are (3) potential enforcement approaches. <br /> The Board of Health is expected to finalize its recommendation on June 4, 2020. <br /> Stickers: All sticker purchases are available online or by mail. <br /> Early Voting: Residents are encouraged to vote early, and request ballots by mail. <br /> ADJOURNMENT <br /> Motion made by Selectman Sherman to adjourn at 7:39 p.m. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman O'Hara. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Gottlieb,yes Selectman Cotton,yes Selectman O'Hara,yes <br /> Selectman Sherman,yes Selectman Weeden,yes Opposed, none <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> ff <br /> Kathleen M.
