Voted unani- <br />mously. <br />Articl To see if the Town will vote to repeal exist- <br />ing Town By -Laws, and to adopt the following By -Laws in <br />their stead. <br />CHAPTER 1 <br />TOWN MEETINGS AND ELECTION OF OFFICERS <br />ARTICLE I. TOWN MEETINGS <br />Section 1. The annual town meeting for the appropriation of money <br />and all other matters which shall properly come before it shall be held <br />on the first Monday in March at 7:00 P.M. in each year, at such place <br />as the selectmen may determine. -The election of officers shall be held <br />on the succeeding Wednesday. The Selectmen shall insert in, the war- <br />rant for the annual meetings all articles, petitions for which, signed by <br />ten or more legal voters, shall be delivered to the Selectmen, or either of <br />them, or the Town Clerk, on or before the twentieth day of January <br />in each year, but the Selectmen may insert in said warrant any article <br />or articles received by them after said twentieth day of January, if in <br />their judgment it is advisable so to do, and whenever it is possible, <br />shall, before calling a special town meeting, insert in some newspaper <br />Published in town a notice specifying the last day upon which articles <br />to be inserted in the warrant for such meetings shall be presented to <br />Z the Selectmen or Town Clerk. The warrant for the annual meeting <br />shall also designate the town officers who are to be chosen by ballot, <br />and their respective terms of office. <br />Section 2. The Selectmen shall cause to be published in the local <br />newspaper at least seven days before any annual or special Town <br />Meetings the recommendations and estimates of all committees (except <br />the finance committee) relating to the expenditure of money upon which <br />action is to be taken, in addition to the articles included in the warrant. <br />
