86 <br />Report of Special Town Meeting <br />t� October 25, 1960 <br />r1 f BARNSTABLE, SS: To the Constable of the Town of Mashpee, <br />GREETING: <br />In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, <br />you are hereby directed to notify and summons the inhabi- <br />tants of the Town of Mashpee who are qualified to vote in <br />. I the elections, to meet at the Town Hall on Tuesday, the <br />I twenty-fifth day of October next at seven o'clock p.m. for <br />the following purposes: To act on the articles contained in <br />the following warrant. <br />Moderator, Mr. William R. Yundt presided at the. meet- <br />ing. <br />The meeting was opened at) 7:45 p.m. with a prayer by <br />Mr. Leo C. Houston. <br />Tellers were Miss Eleanor Peters and Mrs. Adeline Hicks. <br />The tellers polled the house and there were 59 (fifty-nine) <br />registered voters present. <br />Article 1. To see if the Town will appropriate $100.00 <br />for the improvement of sanitary facilities at Fire & Police <br />station or take any other action thereon. <br />Action: Motion made and seconded to accept article as read <br />Voted unanimously. <br />Article 2. To see if the Town will authorize and in- <br />struct the Selectmen to convey to Play -Ball Sales, Inc., a <br />corporation owning land in the Town of Mashpee, that por- <br />tion of the 1959 Town Taking by eminent domain of Mashpee <br />Neck Road lying southerly of a concrete bound on the east- <br />erly side of Mashpee Neck Road, at the southeasterly corner <br />of Parcel 6. formerly owned by Pemberton Whitcomb, shown <br />on sheet,6 of the plan recorded in Barnstable County Registry <br />of Deeds in Plan Book 149, pages 29 through 35 in connection <br />with the notice of taking dated June 30, 1959, recorded in <br />said Registry in Book 1045, page 195; provided, that said <br />corporation first releases the town of Mashpee from all lia- <br />bility arising from said taking by eminent domain as afore <br />R <br />
