FIRE PREVENTION REGULATIONS <br />Section 1. Chimneys. <br />Para. 1. All chimneys hereafter built in any building used for <br />habitation, business, or for public assembly, shall be built of brick or <br />other incombustible material, constructed from the ground up and not <br />supported or hung in any way by wood or combustible material. <br />Para. 2. All chimneys shall have a terra-cotta flue lining unless <br />the chimney walls are 8 inches thick or more and shall be carried up to <br />at least one foot above the highest point of the roof. <br />Para. 3. No smoke pipe or metal flue shall pass through any wooden <br />partition without a safety thimble of fireproof material, the thickness of <br />the partition. <br />Action: Motion made and seconded to postpone article <br />indefinitely. Voted unanimously. <br />Article 24. To see if the Town will vote to take the sum <br />of $300.00 from available funds for the Town Treasurer's ex- <br />pense account, or take any other action thereon. <br />Action: Motion made and seconded to postpone article <br />indefinitely. Voted unanimously. <br />Article 25. To see if the Town will vote to appropriate <br />the sum of $518.53 from available funds, to the Town Hall <br />Maintenance account, or take any other action thereon. <br />Action: Motion made and seconded to postpone article <br />indefinitely. Voted unanimously. <br />Article 26. To see if the. Town will vote to accept the <br />layout of Ninegret Avenue so-called, running in a northerly <br />direction from Route 151 and Crow Road so-called, for a dis- <br />tance of 3,045.45 feet at the southerly end of John's Pond in <br />the John's Pond development for a Town way and will author- <br />ize and instruct the Selectmen to take by purchase or emi- <br />nent domain in behalf of the Town the land or interests in <br />land within the lines of said layout for this purpose and will <br />raise and appropriate the sum of $1.00 for land damages in- <br />curred or take any other action thereon. <br />
